The Adventures of Avi and Lovey: Lovey Goes to School is based on author Donna Wray’s granddaughter and her special relationship with Lovey, her comfort toy. Avi’s father passed away when Avi was three, and Lovey became a constant companion. At bedtime, Avi would ask her grandma to tell her a ‘Lovey Story’, and The Adventures of Avi and Lovey  series was born.

Donna wanted to write stories for young children that demonstrate the importance of making good choices and decisions while also showing the significance of family and friends.

Donna is a mother, grandmother, and language arts teacher. She has watched the joy a good story can bring to a child, and she hopes her stories will provide laughter and positive ideas for young readers.
